Indian cinema’s legends like K. Balachander, Bapu were among the few who recently watched Tanikella Bharani’s Mithunam and heaped shower on the filmmaker as well as the film. The film, which was screened to a large gathering of Indians as well foreign delegates, managed to impress everybody irrespective of their nationality.
Balachander said that the film was 120 minutes of visual poetry, while Bapu who equally appreciated the film clarified that the story of the film was not written by his best friend Ramana, but another writer called Sri Ramana. Apparently, after the release of the film, many called Bapu to appreciate the film assuming that his late writer friend Ramana had written the story.
An elated Bharani said that he was extremely happy that legends like Balachander and Bapu liked his work. He said he will work hard to make better films.
