While appreciating the work of the film’s makers, he said that the industry needs these kinds of films to survive. He added that in the last two years, the habit of the regular movie-going audience has changed completely. The atmosphere inside the industry is not healthy. Gone are the days when a wife used to ask her husband to take her out for a movie on a Sunday evening. Now they wait for movies to release on OTT.

Allu Aravind added that the success of films like AVAK will bring back that culture. He also said that the Bollywood film industry is in the doldrums. He pointed out that even star-studded films are not getting minimum openings. It is a very dangerous trend, and the industry people have to come together, forget their mutual differences and work for the betterment of the industry.

In the end, he said that Mahesh Babu’s Sarkaru Vaari Paata is going to release on May 12. He wished the film all the best and hoped it would break all the records and breathe life into the ailing industry.
