A recent report by Swedish telecom equipment maker Ericsson had revealed interesting observations on the chating habits of Indians. The report revealed that 47% of the total time of the smartphone users in the country is dedicated for chatting applications like WhatsApp, We Chat, Hike and Skype.
The survey taken up on Android smartphone users in India, Japan, South Korea, the UK, and the US revealed that people of the US, the UK and India, more than 30 per cent of the time spent on smartphones is spent on communicating apps.
The report also revealed that 40-50% of the data consumption is attributed to the usage of these apps while 20% is for videos watching. It is said that Ericsson had surveyed 7500 Android users in India.
