Harnaaz Sandhu from India is crowned Miss Universe 2021. After 21-years India has won the prestigious beauty pageant. The last time India won the Miss Universe title was way back in 2000 by Lara Dutta. And now it is 21-year-old Harnaaz Sandhu who has brought the crown back home. Congratulatory messages are all over social media from celebrities and others for Harnaaz over her win.
Harnaaz Sandhu was crowned the title on December 12 at Universe Dome in Eilat, Israel. The viral clip from the competition showed an overwhelming Harnaaz Sandhu being crowned by Andrea Meza of Mexico, who won the pageant last year.
Harnaaz Sandhu hailing from Chandigarh has toppled Paraguay’s Nadia Ferreira and South Africa’s Lalela Mswane to bag the prestigious title. Nadia Ferreira is the first runner-up while Lalela Mswane is the second runner-up. The 70th Miss Universe saw the participation of 80 contestants.
The newly crowned Miss Universe 2021 has her roots in Chandigarh from where she completed her education. She is a model and has acted in a few Punjabi films like Yaara Diyan Poo Baran and Bai Ji Kuttange.
