India still not prepared for DTH viewing: R.P Patnaik

Singer-composer R.P Patnaik’s English directorial debut ‘Amy’ released yesterday overseas via VOD and DVD. Now, he plans to release the film in India soon, but says he doesn’t think releasing it on DTH will be a good idea because Indians abuse the freedom by pirating it.

He says we are not yet ready for DTH service because our mentality is to freely share content. We like to share it with friends by pirating it illegally, and therefore, we are not yet ready for it yet. He adds that we need to wait for few more years before we could release films via DTH.

He says Indian release of the film will take time as he making preparations for the same. He will soon publicly announce the release of the film in the country.
