Mythri Movie Makers had two big releases this Sankranthi season – Veera Simha Reddy and Waltair Veerayya. Both films made the most of Sankranthi advantage and went on a strong run at the box office.
Incidentally, there were plans to hold a grand 100 days celebrations event for Veera Simha Reddy on 24 April.
But with the IT raids on Mythri Movie Makers office on the 15th of April, it led to the cancellation of the event. The IT raids went on for 5 days and Mythri were pushed to cancel the event, given that they were caught up with the raids.
Nandamuri fans were hoping to grandly celebrate the 100 days event of Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy, but that didn’t happen for the aforementioned reason. They are disappointed with the same.
Had Veera Simha Reddy happened, Mega fans would’ve been hopeful of having their own event for Waltair Veerayya 100 days event. But both fans are left with nothing now.
Another point is that Veera Simha Reddy posters had “single handed blockbuster” imprinted on it, taking a dig at Waltair Veerayya Which featured Chiranjeevi and RaviTeja. This would’ve been blown out of proportions had the events happened with the single handed narrative. But this was skipped.
