Telugu Film Industry is in the center of a storm right now with the future looking grim. With no shootings and theaters shut and no idea about when normalcy will be restored, Tollywood has many things to worry about. But out of nowhere a crisis blew out in Tollywood about Fake News.
Vijay Deverakonda sent a video message about a website which published two defamatory articles about his Corona Relief works. He lambasted the website left-right-center and went on to say that the blackmailing tactics for Exclusive Interviews and Ads should stop.
Adding fuel to the fire, Mahesh Babu lent his support to Vijay Deverakonda on the issue and called upon the industry to ‘Act on the fake websites that live off us and disrespect and live about us collectively’. This should be the trigger point of the big controversy and very soon, we will see more celebrities joining the movement.
It is sad that the industry is fighting another menace while dealing with the question of existence.
