If you are a fan of movies or web series, chances are that you would know about IMDb. IMDb is considered a reputed platform worldwide that shares info, ratings, and reviews related to movies, tv shows, reality shows, and OTT content.
But IMDB is losing its credibility in India because the platform has been hijacked, and the votes are getting rigged. Many mediocre, small-budget films have been rated 8 or 9, and many watchable films are rated below 5 out of 10.
Now, IMDB has come up with a list of the most popular stars in 2022, and Tamil actor Dhanush has topped the list, which is nothing but a joke. Whereas Ram Charan, NTR, and Allu Arjun are ranked 4th, 8th, and 9th, respectively.
Dhanush had a terrible year with terrible films like Maaran and Naane Varuven. He also made his debut in Hollywood with the Netflix movie, The Gray Man, which also received poor reviews, and Dhanush got no recognition or accolades. The only successful film was the romantic film, Thiruchitrambalam, which did moderately well.
Ranking Dhanush as No. 1 in the list of most popular stars of 2022 is entirely bogus, and it takes away whatever little credibility IMDB had in India.
