Rana baahubali rudramadeviWhatever be Rana’s previous movies, Today we are talking about Rana and the epic characters of his upcoming period dramas ‘Rudramadevi’ and ‘Baahubali’. Though Rana has got all the publicity and background, somehow his previous movies failed to create a unique bankable image for himself.

But now things have changed. His bulky and macho man look in the two period dramas is definitely earning him browny points. Rana being chosen ‘The Most Desirable Man of 2014’ speaks volumes on Rana’s enhanced image in terms of looks and attitude by worth of the two films. Can anyone deny?

For audiences these two characters are epic hero like characters. But for Rana, he is aware of the difference between the two roles. He sees his Chalukya Veerabhadra character as only a supporting character to the main lead Rudramadevi essayed by Anushka Shetty.

However, ‘Baahubali’s Bhallaladeva is certainly an epic role but a villain not a hero. This character, he describes as strong as the epic villain characters like Duryodhana and Ravanasura from our epics Mahabharata and Ramayana. Back to social characters, Rana finds himself playing a soft role in ‘Bangalore Days’ remake.
