Geetha Govindam brought Parasuram into limelight giving him that craving success as a director. Speaking in an interview, the director shared his work with the script and why Allu Arjun did not do the movie.
Parasuram expressed his gratitude towards Allu family who helped him throughout the making starting from the initial stages of the film. Allu Arjun liked the script a lot and voluntarily involved during the work as the director says. When asked why couldn’t he do the film with the hero, the director said the time when he narrated the script to the hero was wrong.
According to him, he took the script to Arjun after Sarainodu, a heavy mass entertainer which made the hero not apt for such a story like Geetha Govindam. Parasuram thinks he should have narrated it after films like Julayi and S/O Satyamurthy. Even when Allu Arjun was flipping between decisions whether to do it or not but finally let it go. Every film gives certain expectations for the audience and the makers need to go with their pulse as director Parasuram did.
