Hyped 1000 Cr Movie Shelved!

1000cr-Movie-MahabharataQuoted to be the most expensive film in the country, Randamoozham based on Mahabharata has been hyped for three years with star casting and the super-budget of 1000 crores to be invested in the film by a Dubai businessman. But after all, the film is sadly shelved.

Mohanlal was supposed to play the lead role as Bheema in the film where the story of Mahabharata runs in the perspective of Bheema based on the book Randamoozham written by MT Vasudevan Nair. However, the writer asked his script back by sending a legal notice to the director and the Dubai producer for not commencing the film as per the contract. The director VA Shrikumar tried to convince Vasudevan but failed.

Now the producer, BR Shetty officially confirmed to have closed the chapter of Randamoozham permanently. But, he has secured the proposed budget for another project on Mahabharata and is looking for the scriptwriter. Well, the first thought went on for a long three years and got shelved. Let’s see if his second thought to make his country proud with a mammoth budgeted film will succeed.
