Hyderabad IT industry growth rate

Telangana region has seen some of the most tumultuous period over the last one year. There were several bandhs and agitations in the region and many thought it will have a severe impact on the Software industry concentrated in Hyderabad with some of the companies even moving out of the city. But nothing like it happened. During the year 2013-14, IT exports from Hyderabad were pegged at Rs 57,000 crore, while it was about Rs 49,831 crore in the previous fiscal.

So, there was 14% increase in Software exports in the last year and the direct employment generated by the industry is 3,23,691. All the figures were compiled by Software Technology Parks of India (STPI) and Development Commissioner for Special Economic Zones. Analysts say that the state has crossed the most difficult phase successfully and the industry has several brighter days ahead. All that the government has to do is to continue the IT-investor friendly atmosphere which existed over several years in the city.
