Bollywood is in the worst possible phase now. Star hero films like Laal Singh Chaddha and Rakshabandhan have disappeared without a trace at the box office.
But things are looking promising now for Bollywood biggie Brahmastra which has Ranbir Kapoor, Alia Bhatt, and Nagarjuna in the lead roles. The advance bookings for the film are looking promising in Hyderabad, and also in Chennai and Bengaluru.
In Hyderabad, the ticket prices are on the higher side as they are priced at Rs 325 in multiplexes. But the bookings are looking promising. The bookings in Chennai and Bengaluru are also trending well.
It is evident that the South audiences are ready to encourage new releases if they promise exciting content, regardless of the language.
The leading national multiplex chains are reporting good advances for the film. The advance ticket sales for the opening day, Friday are 7000. For the weekend, the ticket sales are at an impressive 11,000.
This is a good start for Brahmastra, particularly so when other mainstream biggies are struggling like hell to register openings. The positive trend will be amplified if the film opens to good reviews and word of mouth.
