Vijay Deverakonda’s Liger is releasing next week, and the hype is increasing with each passing minute. Vijay, along with his entire team, is attending various promotional events and interviews on social media to grab as many eyeballs as possible.
In one of the promotional interviews, Charmme, one of the producers of Liger, asked Vijay Deverakonda about what are the prospects of Liger at the box office and what collections he is expecting from the film.
Vijay Deverakonda unabashedly replied that according to him Liger countdown starts from 200 crores. He is expecting nothing less than a blockbuster from Liger.
This statement from Deverakonda has become a topic of hot discussion on social media. Except for superstars like Prabhas, Mahesh Babu, NTR, Allu Arjun, and Ram Charan, no one has delivered a 200-crore grosser in Tollywood. Even Pawan Kalyan still hasn’t delivered a film that has touched this mark.
So Vijay Deverakonda, who is relatively very new, talking about Liger doing such business is definitely a shocker.
But if we consider the logistics, Liger doing 200 crores isn’t impossible. If the film gets positive word of mouth in both Telugu and Hindi versions, then Liger definitely has a shot at 200 crores worldwide!
