Actor Vishal, who is currently shooting for a Tamil film titled Poojai, which will be dubbed in Telugu. Recently, Bollywood yesteryear actress Rekha was approached by the film’s director for a role in his film. However, the actress couldn’t be signed on as she was busy with other commitments and couldn’t take out time for this project.
She was approached to play the mother of Vishal in the film, which also features Shruti Haasan. Rekha was asked to set aside 15 days for the film’s shooting, which is currently taking place at Coimbatore. But the actress instantly refused the offer because she was extremely busy. The makers have now chosen actress Radhika to play Vishal’s mother in the film, which is expected to release for Diwali.
Rekha, who is a south Indian by birth, is the daughter of late legendary Tamil actor Gemini Ganeshan. She made her cinematic debut with Telugu film “Rangula Ratnam”.
