Hero-Dulquer-Salmaan-Takes-Full-Responsibility-for-Body-Shaming-HerIntentional or unintentional, using someone’s pics without their consent or knowledge isn’t something one must encourage. Chetna Kapoor, a female reporter found it offensive to use her picture on a public platform and body-shaming her.

One of her pic in the form of an advertisement banner was used in Malayalam star Dulquer Salmaan’s production venture ‘Varane Avashyamund’. When she noticed that, Chetna Kapoor brought this to Dulquer’s attention asking him to either remove or blur the image.

Dulquer promptly took full responsibility for it and gave word that he would have the matter investigated, how the image was sourced and used. He made it clear that it wasn’t intentional. Even the director of the film stated apology on his team’s behalf. ironically, the film was against objectifying women.

Though not intentional, such minute things should be taken care of as no one has the right to overstep on one’s personal space. Dulquer Salman was sensible enough to respond positively. Nice move!
