Movies coming to theatres seems to be a dream as of now and the makers of ‘Uma Maheshwara Ugra Roopasya‘ are opting for a direct OTT release though they initially wanted to go for a theatrical release.
Directed by Venkatesh Maha of ‘C/o Kancherapalem’ fame, the movie will begin streaming either in the last week of June or from July first week onwards. So, the date is going to be fixed very soon.
Though the producer of the movie, NRI Praveena Paruchuri wanted theatrical release, she sees the brighter side on releasing on an OTT platform. She understands that a movie on a digital platform would have a global reach.
Instead of taking risk of attracting the audiences to the theatres when the situation isn’t safe yet, it’s better to opt for a digital platform, opine the makers of the movie including Shobhu Yarlagadda and Prasad Devineni.
