Here’s-How-War-Shuts-Out-Sye-Raa---Record-PossibilityMegastar Chiranjeevi starrer Sye Raa is coming with massive expectations. It is not only his dream project but also the costliest movie in his career. Ever since its announcement, the audience was curious about the film.

Given the anticipation, size and stardom of Megastar Chiranjeevi, records were expected to tumble from its opening day. However, its release and clash with another biggie like War, has dented its prospects. Why might think War is a Bollywood movie and couldn’t create any impact on local Telugu film, but here is an example.

The Hyderabad city is the heart of Nizam territory. The closer one is to record numbers here, the higher the chances for the overall record. In this area, Sye Raa has to share screens with War across all the multiplex properties. To give an example, the Prasads Multiplex usually has nearly 30 shows for a Telugu biggie on its opening day. Sye Raa is only expected to get 16.

It basically shuts out any record possibility for Sye Raa. If this is the case across the multiplexes in Andhra side as well (the A centers), the damage to Sye Raa’s opening could be serious. The recent release Saaho, current non-Baahubali record, got a record release across all the areas.

In the past, Magadheera came on the same day as Bollywood biggie Love Aaj Kal. The latter got a one-week delayed-release in Andhra areas. That won’t be the case here as War is much bigger and also has a Telugu dubbed version to boot.
