Cyclone Helen is creating a havoc in the coastal area of Andhra Pradesh. All the districts from Srikakulam to Guntur are being severely thrashed by heavy winds and torrential rains since last night. Trees and electric poles have fallen in several areas disrupting the power supply. Met department officials say that heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected in the next 48 hours.

As all the spheres of life, films are also affected in the region. Almost all the theaters in the state were shutdown. This situation badly hampered the openings of Anushka starer Varna which released today. Trade Analysts say that the movie may not perform welleven after the rains subdue as the talk is bad as well. On the other side, Ceeded region reported 80% occupancy for the morning shows.
