Youth kept humming singer Kousalya’s ‘Eenade telisindi’ song for many days when “idiot’ was released and music lovers went gaga for the sweetness in her voice. But, that sweetness was limited only to her voice and there is a lot of sorrow and bitterness in her real life.
In a recent interview, the singer opened up about her heartbreaking divorce story and narrated various incidents in which she was verbally abused by her ex-husband using vulgar language, physically beaten up, faced comments on her appearance and dressing. Besides these, her husband had extra-marital relationships with several women.
Sometimes, she was beaten up so mercilessly that her face had the scars from the wounds. She faced all the abuse for many years and when she couldn’t take anymore, she applied for divorce. Even then, her ex-husband was all threatening along with his another wife (extra-marital relationship) challenging the singer not to take their names on public platforms.
We have seen Kousalya sing melodious songs and enchant us with her mellifluous voice. But, this sorrow in her personal life is something one would never wish to happen for an enemy, even. Heartwrenching story!
