If we talk about the best films in Telugu cinema in the last decade and a half or in the career of Mahesh Babu and Trivikram, without any doubt, Athadu and Khaleja will feature among them. Athadu especially is an unforgettable film in Mahesh Babu and Trivikram Srinivas career.
Not many might know now, but Athadu is the movie that paved the way for Superstar Mahesh Babu’s stardom in the US. He is the biggest star in the market currently. Trivikram is also the top director in the US.
The second film in their combination, Khaleja, was also a top grosser. However, it failed commercially in the Telugu states. But, over the years, it has attained a cult status. The comic timing of Mahesh Babu was brought forth to the audience with this movie.
