It is well known by now to all and sundry that Kick 2 had gone over budget and it was one of the major reasons for the delay in the release. The producer couldn’t get the right price to break even with the high price.
But has Kalyan Ram, producer of the film, finally lucked out? Buzz in the industry is that he has with Eros taking over the project. A deal much to the satisfaction of Kalyan Ram seems to have been done, according to sources though exact numbers aren’t being revealed. It was this takeover that has finally meant a smooth release for the film.
Eros post the success of Srimanthudu seems to have developed renewed confidence and is looking at getting a strong foothold in Telugu cinema. They are planning to bring many more biggies in future which also includes Pawan Kalyan starrer Sardaar Gabbar Singh.
