Post the twin debacle of Chal Mohan Ranga and Srinivas Kalyanam, Nithiin took a small self-imposed sabbatical. When he announced new projects after a gap, he promised to come back with success.
The first of those three projects announced by Nithiin has hit the cinemas this week. As promised, Bheeshma with director Venky Kudumula has delivered. The movie is running to packed houses and is likely to emerge the second biggest success for the actor, if not the biggest.
However, more than the box office, which is necessary, Bheeshma seems to have set a high bar for Nithiin, content-wise. The word of mouth among the general audience is near terrific. The fun and entertainment aspect has been unanimously appreciated.
A film Venky Atluri as follow up to Bheeshma ideally is a perfect line up. But, the high bar set with Bheeshma will prove to be a great challenge to surpass. If that is met and overtaken, Nithiin could be looking at back to back massive successes.
Then there is a movie with Chandrasekhar Yeleti as well. It will need an official confirmation once more post the massive success of Bheeshma, though.
Irrespective of how the Nithiin28 fares, it is always better to have high expectations. It is a good position to be in for an actor, anytime.
