The trailer of Happy Birthday, a comedy caper featuring Vennela Kishore, Rahul Ramakrishna, Lavanya Tripathi, and others in the lead roles is out now.
The teaser starts off with Vennela Kishore, who plays a minister, announcing a gun bill that legalizes the purchase, sale, and manufacture of guns in the Telugu states. All hell breaks loose later as everyone starts owning a gun and violence hits a new peak.
The teaser implies that Happy Birthday comes with a fresh and unexplored concept. The gun culture and the subsequent effects on society are highlighted in the teaser. Then there is this birthday party, where there is no entry without guns.
The visuals are funky and so is the background score for the teaser. The film is produced by Mythri Movie Makers so there should be no shortcomings on the production values front.
While there is very good scope for situational humor surrounding the gun culture, if not handled well, it can turn out to be farcical as well. This is the challenge team Happy Birthday faces as they look to entertain the audience from July 15.
Happy Birthday is directed by Ritesh Rana who made his debut with Mathu Vadalara.
