What variety of characters would a star heroine want to do normally? Glamarous roles, glamour plus substancial roles and powerful women-oriented characters. But does any heroine like to experiment with variety like playing second fiddle or else a character which is differently abled (not as the main female lead).
Nitya Menen already defied existing trends in choosing characters as an established heroine. Except one or two missed judgements, she always gave importance to her characters, which placed her beside the lineage of great actresses like Savithri, Jayasudha, Soundarya etc. ‘Ganga’ truly is one character which no main lead heroine would accept.
Accepting ‘Ganga’ and excelling with her emotional depth laid tall targets to other actresses to reach her range. It’s even unthinkable that any other top or successful heroine would take up such challenges. If we try to chalk out some names who can be the Nitya Menen, sadly we find no one who don’t get carried away by trend but go with the depth of the characters. Kudos girl!
