Pawan-Kalyan-make-over

Remaking films is something that is happening from the very beginning of the institution called Cinema. It is how the best film’s of one language were enjoyed in other language before the phenomenon of dubbing films caught on.

Coming to the topic of remakes there are two kinds of remake. One is where the original is remade as it is without any changes. An example of this can be given in the form of Drishyam which was remade as it is frame by frame without any changes. Then there are remakes like Gabbar Singh where the similarities are few between the original and remake despite retaining the core screenplay. Most of the Pawan Kalyan remakes have been of the latter variety.

Now the talk doing the rounds in the industry suggests that Gopala Gopala could also be on the lines of previous Pawan Kalyan remakes which means lots of tweaking being done to the original. The role of Pawan Kalyan, as one knows, is already extended for starters. But the changes doesn’t seem to end there, suggest sources. These changes have been done to bring the original more close to our nativity.

Gopala Gopala is a remake of Bollywood film Oh My God. The issues portrayed in the film worked well in its milieu thanks to superb writing there. A similar level of writing that is original to our sensibility would be the big surprise package for the remake says sources close to the film’s unit.

Well both the styles of remakes have done wonders in the past? We would like to know which style of remake would you prefer as a viewer – the copy and paste one or reworked for our nativity one? Share us your thoughts below.
