In one of the biggest goof ups at the World’s Most Prestigious Miss Universe Paegant, the host had announced that she mistakenly named the wrong woman as winner. Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez was mistakenly crowned.
But her happiness was short-lived as she had to surrender the crown to Miss Philippines, Pia Alonzo Wurtzbach. The visibly disappointed Miss Colombia however said, “Everything happens for a reason so I’m happy for all that I did.”
After the correction, Miss Colombia Ariadna Gutierrez was named first runner-up followed by Olivia Jordan from the United States. Following this goof up, #MissUniverse2015 became Twitter’s biggest as the netizens expressed their disbelief.
