The theatrical trailer of Satyadev’s Godse is out now and it promises that the film is a hard-hitting drama based on the current political landscape.
Satyadev is seen as a violent lad who takes on a crooked politician. In the process, he also wages a war against corrupt politicians. The dialogues in the trailer pack a punch. The closing dialogue in the trailer “Arhath unnode assembly lo undali, paddathi unnodi parliament lo undali” could well depict the theme of the film.
Satyadev looks menacing in the violent role. Aishwarya Lekshmi plays the leading lady and she appears to have bagged a meaty role.
The background score and the visuals in the trailer look sleek. The trailer is technically sound. But for action thrillers with a political backdrop to click, the screenplay should be racy and there should be novely in the core plot. Whether or not Godse can tick this box will be determined when the film hits the silver screens on June 17th.
