lava mobiles in andhra pradeshLava International, the fourth largest smartphone manufacturer in the country, has decided to setup its manufacturing unit in Tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. The manufacturing unit is worth 500 Crore and the government has allocated 20 acres of land at the the dedicated mobile handset and electronics manufacturing facility, for which Prime Minister Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone recently.

Already Micromax and Celkon have evinced their interest and signed MOU to participate in this manufacturing facility. This facility of Lava was supposed to be in Goa but the state now lost it to Andhra Pradesh after the truncated state promised it extensive tax exemptions and higher subsidies.

Lava had promised to create around 15,000 direct employment opportunities. Goa lost it to Andhra pradesh did not have the human resources to meet the requirements of Lava. The smartphone manufacturer already has a factory in Noida is in talks with Goa government this June.
