MeToo moment has got a lot of attention to the women who have suffered the casting couch issues and looking at this incident, the unleashed technique to get a girl to bed has become a trap for a malicious man who rape a girl for two-three years.
The incident took place in Bengaluru where the the 19-year-old girl was approached by a guy in 2016 who called himself a producer and offered her a role in his film. Quoting her good looks, he lured the girl to become a heroine in no time and got her number which gradually led them to speak every day on the phone until he called her to his house for an audition.
As the girl entered the house, he confirmed her the role saying audition is just for the sake of it. He then shut the door and raped her after which he threatened her of society and that no one would marry her if she reveals about him to her parents or the police. The poor girl, afraid to speak bore the sexual harassment for years where the guy eventually got her nude pics and blackmailed her to fulfill his sexual needs whenever he wanted.
Unable to bear the harassment anymore, the girl finally reached the police who have now arrested the fake producer with further investigation going on. How sad! How much more awareness is required? A lot for sure.
