It might look like unexpected now but when the trailers of both the movies were released, many felt that Gautamiputra Satakarni would lead over Khaidi 150. The premiere numbers shattered the expectations, though.
Now a day later both the films have performed exactly as initially expected. On the second and third day of the films Gautamiputra Satakarni and Khaidi No 150, the former has taken a lead. Chiranjeevi’s film collected $ 76K whereas Balakrishna took lead with a $ 135K collection.
With GPS being more friendly genre overseas, the trade is expecting the film to continue the lead. It remains to be seen if Chiranjeevi’s Khaidi 150 can make a big recovery over the weekend.
