Earlier in the day, the first look poster of Alia Bhatt starrer Gangubai Kathiawadi was revealed. What took everyone by surprise was its release date. It is July 30th, the same date as Prabhas starrer Radhe Shyam. Well, now we have a teaser. So, here is a glimpse at the competition.
Gangubai Kathiawadi is first time collaboration of Alia Bhatt with star director Sanjay Leela Bhansali. It is another one of his long-pending projects that finally got on floors due to his phenomenal box office performance in recent years. He has scored hat-trick success.
One look at the teaser of Gangubai Kathiawadi, and we can see the director going about his way in full confidence. However, it is the choice of the actress Alia Bhatt which looks a little odd. It takes time to get used to her mannerisms and body language. It is radically different from anything she has done before.
Once one is used to the gait and presence of Alia Bhatt, it is a smooth ride. The teaser ends with a punch dialogue in the end that is sure to get registered.
The combination and presence of Alia Bhatt makes Gangubai Kathiawadi look different. But, considering the movies made in that space, it seems to offer nothing new. It is here that Radhe Shyam could score over it as it will provide a different theatrical experience for sure.
