Gang Leader is the third musical outing of Tamil sensation Anirudh In the Telugu film industry. The previous two films are Agnyaathavaasi and Jersey. It completes a hat-trick of classy treats from the musician.
Gang Leader comprises of four songs in the album. They are a mix of class and mass, unlike Jersey, which was entirely classy. “Ra Ra” and the title songs are mass and energetic numbers whereas “Hoyna” and “Ninu Choose Anandamlo”, are peppy numbers with class orientation.
The melodies obviously stand out, and ‘Hoyna’ in particular is arguably the song of the year followed closely by the second melody. It is ultimately up to the personal choice of the listener.
We can also observe that the commercial success of Anirudh has increased from the first to the second film. If the same trend continues, which we wish to listen to more Anirudh in Telugu, then Gang Leader is set to be the biggest one.
Vikram K Kumar has an excellent track record when it comes to music in his films. Who can forget Ishq and Manam? Where would Gang Leader find a place? It will be a tough choice to make, and that is always the right place to be in.
