Suresh Babu - NarappaSuresh Babu’s decision to release his Narappa on OTT has come under severe criticism. However, Suresh Babu is unfazed and strongly argues that the best decision is taken in the prevailing conditions. In an interview, he says there are two reasons in taking this decision.

“Firstly, I am not the majority partner in this project. Thanu has got a best offer and I can not deprive him of the business or profits just because I have 100 theatres to take care of. I would be seen selfish in that case,” he says.

“I will not send my family to theaters in these times. How can I ask others to come and watch my film? We shot a schedule for 53 days in Tamil Nadu. When the schedule was about to wrap in four days, we called it off because there are a couple of COVID cases in a nearby village,” he revealed.

“If something happens to people working for me, I can not live with that guilt for the rest of my life feeling they laid down their lives working for me. It is the same with the films releasing in theaters as well. We took utmost care during the shoot. Still four people from out unit passed away due to COVID but on non-shooting days,”he added.
