For Mahesh Babu & Jr. NTR 100 Cr Worldwide – Still A Difficult Task The year 2018 has been an eye-opener for the trade and box office followers in general. While the US performance is seen as the most significant breakthrough another critical distinction, which was previously assumed as easy-to-do, has been arrived as well.

The second major dawning of clarity is the fact that, for now, getting a SHARE of 100 Cr worldwide is still a difficult task. In the last two years, all the top stars including veteran Chiranjeevi too had a release. Among all of them, only two films (excluding the Baahubali movies) have been able to pass the landmark worldwide.

When the first non-Baahubali movie passed the 100 Cr share, it was assumed as a matter of fact that even the current generation stars could achieve it easily given Chiranjeevi, a senior actor, has done it with an average product. Well, the time has provided the answer. Two big stars of the current generation have had similar films released this year with a better combination, and yet they have failed to reach 100 Cr.

The bottom-line is Telugu film industry has still not reached a stage where an average or above-average sort of movie could earn 100 Cr share. A sure-shot hit talk is necessary across the board like we have seen with Rangasthalam. One should also not miss the irony here that it was a film starring Ram Charan and directed by Sukumar, two names least expected to cross 100 Cr.

With that in mind, let us see who joins the 100 Cr Share club next. Ram Charan and Mahesh Babu are the next present generation actors who will have releases whereas Nandamuri Balakrishna, from the senior stars, is coming with the much-hyped NTR biopics.
