It was not long ago that Shruti Haasan was almost harassed by a man, who tried to break into her Mumbai house. Shruti resisted his entry and pushed him out when he tried to make his way in. Now, a similar incident happened again when the actress was lodging in a hotel room in Dehradun. She was shooting in the city for Hindi film Yaara by Tigmanshu Dhulia.
A man who was staying in the same hotel tried to enter Shruti’s room in drunk condition. After midnight on Wednesday, this man had knocked several times on the door of Shruti’s hotel room. Although, Shruti didn’t open the door but she was scared. Later on, she filed a police complaint with Rajput police and they have called accused and her manager to investigate the case. While Shruti continued shooting for the film on Thursday, her managed kept making visits to police station in connection with the case.
Shruti is a brave woman and how she has handled herself in these circumstance should be a lesson for several women of her age in the society. I suppose it’s time for her to beef up security around her.
