smart phone indians addictionThe times have advanced so far that smartphones and social networking have become an integral part of our life. To study this phenomenon, business company Deloitte recently conducted a survey called Mobile Consumer Survey 2015 which studied the mobile usage habits of the general users.

This survey has brought to light some interesting results. For example of all the users who own smartphones, a staggering 78 percent of them check their phones within 15 minutes of waking up. Not only this, almost 52 percent of users also check the phones within 5 minutes of going to sleep. This usage mostly happens on social networks and IMs such as Whatsapp and Facebook followed by emails and SMS. Moreover, such is the phone addiction that 28 percent of users look at their phones at least 11 to 25 times a day, while 22 percent check it at least 26 to 50 times daily.

It is thus clear that for most smartphone users, their day begins and ends with their phones.
