As a result, Bollywood struggled to be back on its feet. But then, Indian cinema’s first sign of recovery came from Maharashtra itself in the second wave.

Maharashtra has been the worst affected state in the second wave and the government had to impose the Lockdown much earlier than other states in the country. As a result, it also recovered quickly and the Maharashtra government has started the process of Unlock.
