The third metropolitan magistrate of the traffic mobile unit in Hyderabad for the first time in the history of the city, convicted a woman. She was awarded three days jail for the proven offence of driving her car under the influence of alcohol.
Asifnagar traffic police arrested her last week and her BAC level stood at 88 mg/100 ml in the breath analyser test. On the same night, one more woman doctor fled leaving her car after her BAC levels were above the permissible limit.
The woman first refused to take the test and later fled from the spot with the help of her friends leaving behind her white Hyundai i10 car. She is a resident of Madhapur and the police are trying to track her down and will produce her in the court when they manage to grab her.
