It could be understood that Gemini Ganeshan’s daughter Dr. Kamala Selvaraj isn’t happy with the way the biopic has shaped up. According to her opinion that surfaced on several media reports, she is unhappy for telling the story from Savitri’s perspective and portraying her father in the poor light who was among the top three star-heroes of his time with a huge fan following.
She didn’t agree with the anecdotes that mention how Savitri took to alcohol with Gemini Ganeshan’s prodding, those scenes showing Gemini Ganeshan out of work and growing jealous of Savitri. Kamala Selvaraj alleges that the body of the biopic is fictitious. Will this disappointment create a storm of controversy? Let’s wait and see.
