Film Theaters To Shutdown in KeralaCoronavirus scare is gripping the entire nation. So far, there are 47 affected cases in the country. Kerala has the highest number of affected at nine. Three of them have recovered. In the wake of the increase of infections, the Kerala government had asked all the cinema theater owners in the state to close down till March 31st.

The State Government has shut down educational institutions and also restricted mass prayers and meetings in religious places and canceled all functions. As the infections spread, other states are likely to follow Kerala in shutting down film theaters.

In Telangana, there is only one person who contracted it from his travel from Dubai via Bengaluru. There are no positive cases in Andhra Pradesh so far. Telugu Film Industry has no notable releases until the 25th of this month. Nani and Sudheer Babu’s V releases on 25th as Ugadi Special.

A slew of releases is being planned for Summer starting from 25th. Shutdown will mean a huge rescheduling of the release dates. Telugu Film Industry will only hope that things would become normal by then so that the season is not lost.
