Fidaa will be the first film after a very long gap where everyone down the chain of distribution is going to make money. It will be among the true-blue blockbusters in the US.
Fidaa on its opening day (premieres + Friday) has collected approximately $363K. It is big for a film that came with very minimal to nil expectations. Director Sekhar Kammula and brand Dil Raju are the primary reasons for the initial interest along with the music. Post release, it is all about Sekhar Kammula and Sai Pallavi, though. Sekhar Kammula was a substantial force in the US almost a decade ago. Now he sure has regained lost ground with the sensational openings.
