The Sekhar Kammula directed Varun Tej, and Sai Pallavi starrer Fidaa had a superb second weekend with an excellent Sunday. At many places, the Sunday numbers were on par or more than the first day itself.
So, here are some of the landmarks that Fidaa managed to go past on the weekend went by. Fidaa is now an assured 30 Cr film. It has crossed 10 Cr in Nizam, a first for Varun Tej. In the US, Fidaa went past 1.5 Million making it the third biggest hit of the year (excluding Baahubali 2). In few days it will be the second best.
Overall, the Sunday jump has meant the movie penetrated further into the audience. The second Monday being almost on par with first Monday is its direct impact. The way the movie is going steady in weekdays and showing the jump in the weekends, the trade feels a “special” film has arrived after a very long time among small to medium budget movies.
