February ReleasesFebruary started on a mediocre note for Tollywood, as Michael and Butta Bomma tanked at the box office. Writer Padmabhushan is doing decent business in India as well as overseas, but that isn’t enough to boost the spirits in th industry.

In the next few weeks, some medium and small-budget movies are going to release in Tollywood.

Kalyan Ram is coming up with doppelganger-thriller Amigos. The film has some decent expectations attached to it, especially because Kalyan Ram is coming after the blockbuster Bimbisara and also because of the prominent production banner Mythri Movies. The film is releasing on February 10.

Dhanush’s Sir/Vaathi also might turn out to be a surprise if the content clicks. Dhanush is returning to the big screen after a spate of mediocre OTT releases. The director, Venky Atluri, is also considered to be a sensible director. The film is backed by Sithara Entertainments and is all set to release on February 17.

Kiran Abbavaram is also coming up with the family entertainer Vinaro Bhagyamu Vishnu Katha. The film is releasing on February 17 as a Shiv Ratri gift. The songs have become popular. GA 2 Pictures banner, which is reeling under flops, is producing this film and is expecting that this film will bail them out of their low phase.

There are other films like Popcorn, Vasantha Kokila, and Sridevi Shoban Babu also lined up for release in February.

It will be interesting to see if any of these films will spring a surprise at the box office and make the month of February exciting, which is looking dull as of now.
