Akkineni hero Akhil’s second film Hello has opened with poor response. The numbers in specific areas were discouraging to say the least, considering the pre-release expectation and talk the movie got.
Hello’s opening day is less than 3 Cr in the two Telugu states. In fact, it is more or less equal to the director Vikram Kumar’s last release 24. Yes, there was a competition, and the release was small. But the numbers aren’t even good for that size. The big solace here is the performance of Hello in the US. It might help the film put up respectable numbers for the first week as well as full run.
Akhil’s debut film, Akhil had a record opening for a debut hero, and it raised hopes among the fans. The good combination also helped. However, the opening has come as a rude shock to many. Let us see how the feel-good love story sustains in the coming few days.
