Last week’s Sankranthi releases Chiranjeevi’s Waltair Veerayya and Balakrishna’s Veera Simha Reddy did very well over the weekend. Despite the mixed talk, both films performed way above expectations. Both films cashed in on the Sankranthi benefit to the full extent.
Prabhas’ Adipurush was also supposed to release this Sankranthi. But due to the extremely poor reaction to the teaser from the audience, the makers had to postpone the film.
Prabhas fans are feeling disappointed for having lost the golden chance of taking the big benefit of the Sankranthi festival. They feel that if average word-of-mouth films like Waltair Veerayya and Veera Simha Reddy could perform so well, then a Prabhas’ film based on Lord Rama would have created havoc at the box office.
But due to the utter failure of the Adipurush’s makers in giving a quality product, Prabhas lost a golden chance. Now Adipurush is slated to release on June 16 and fans feel that it’s the worst date to release such a huge film.
