Three diverse films are hitting the screens tomorrow. A straight Telugu movie Falaknuma Das and two Tamil dubbed flicks NGK and Abhinetri 2. However, the last one is getting least of traction among the audience, and it has become more about Falaknuma Das and NGK.
Ideally, a Suriya starrer should be a biggie that gets the maximum attention, but we know the kind of form the star is in, in the past few years. There was a time when he used to compete with star hero movies, remember Sikandar versus Rabhasa? But now even a small scale film is proving to be a big competition.
Falaknuma Das and NGK are both vying for the same audience’s attention (youth plus urban mass), and as of now, the former is leading. With paid premieres planned at a few places, the makers are further showing confidence in its project. On the other hand, NGK despite boating of superb combination is not getting the initial traction and is depending on word of mouth.
Let’s wait and see what is in store for these films. Falaknuma Das stars Vishwak Sen and is also self-directed by him. NGK is helmed by Shree Raghava and stars Sai Pallavi and Rakul Preet Singh in the female leads opposite Suriya.
