Fake Elevation For Top Tamil Star Vijay Thalapathy Busted, Fans EmbarrassedTamil star Vijay is currently enjoying phenomenal popularity with a streak of successful films. Everything he touches is turning into gold commercially, and everything he does is a controversy that keeps him in the news. It keeps the fans hyperactive and also adds a lot of new ones to the fold.

Here is one such latest controversy, which has unfortunately turned out an embarrassment for the fans. It is related to the TRP’s of movies across India during the lockdown period.

According to a report that emerged online recently, Vijay held the top position nationally concerning the cumulative impressions of movie viewings across the languages. He was followed by Lawrence, Rajinikanth, Akshay Kumar and Prabhas.

Fans of Vijay immediately latched onto it and naturally were overjoyed. What added to the authenticity of the report was it being presented as BARC approved.

The report went viral, all over that’s when reality came out. It went to so ‘viral’ that it caught the attention of BARC. They immediate sensed something fishy and clarified that they never published such a report. Their logo was used without permission to circulate the false claim, BARC India says.

The official clarification from BARC poured water on fans enjoyment and became a source of significant embarrassment.

Below are the two images. The first one is the report circulated and the second is BARC’s reply.
