Venkatesh and Varun Tej‘s F3 is the first proper family-oriented Telugu comedy entertainer to release after third wave. The film banks on the platform laid by the blockbuster F2 and it is up for release on May 27.
As per the latest reports, two pre-release theatrical business numbers are in circulation ( 70 Cr and 80 Cr). This is a staggering numbers either ways for a comedy entertainer.
Notably, films like Acharya and Radhe Shyam which had superstar value ended up as huge loss ventures and they suggest that the audience are not willing to step out to watch new releases in theatres if the content is weak.
So, the biggest challenge F3 will face is for it to garner a blockbuster word of mouth. The film will have to gain a unanimously positive response from the audience if it is to recover the whopping Rs 80 crores and also reap profits to the buyers.
Given that F2 was a box office blockbuster, the sequel, F3 has fetched excellent revenues. But the buyers will now want no less than a blockbuster talk for the film.
The family audience have been waiting for a clean family entertainer and F3 falls under the same category. So, the film might make it big at the box office if it ticks the right boxes. The Anil Ravipudi directorial is releasing on May 27.
