Victory Venkatesh and Mega Prince Varun Tej’s F2 which released for Sankranthi 2019 is the most successful film in recent times in terms of Return on Investment. The movie has amassed over 80 Crore Share bringing huge returns to each and everyone involved in the trade.
The sequel for that film – F3 was announced today on the occasion of Venkatesh’s Birthday. A concept poster was released in which Venkatesh and Varun are seen with golden pushcarts of huge money. In an earlier interview, Director Anil Ravipudi said F3 may not be about marriages and now the concept poster indicates that it is about some money hunt.
‘Problems in a marriage’ with a huge dose of comedy is one of the most salable concepts in Telugu Cinema. It looks like Anil has decided to abandon it and go for a new concept. Probably, he is trying to avoid monotony there at the cost of missing that comfort a proven concept brings.
However, if the comedy works out bring time as all Anil’s films this change may bring freshness to F3 and actually help the movie. The important thing is to exploit the comedy angle of Venkatesh like in F2. Reports are that the movie may go on floors this month itself and in such a case, the team may be looking at Dussehra 2021 release.
